The Innovative and Computational Science Lab, College of Arts, Media and Technology, in collaboration with the Department of Emergency Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, has implemented the CMU–M Track system as a pilot project to support student safety during the 2025 Freshmen Mountain Walk (Up the Mountain Tradition) at Chiang Mai University.
This system enhances the efficiency of medical monitoring and safety management throughout the event, particularly in emergency situations.

• Emergency incident reporting, automatically sending real-time location data and essential information directly to the field medical and nursing teams.
• Travel and medical assistance record tracking, supporting standardized emergency response and documentation.
• Monitoring of emergency ambulance services, ensuring responsiveness and resource readiness.
• Tracking of medical teams, nursing staff, and personnel from all faculties along the mountain route to enable real-time visibility and coordination for any health-related incidents or accidents.

This initiative was made possible through the collaboration of the research lab team, who worked intensively within a limited timeframe, consisting of:
