Published At: 19 Dec 2022

It is a great opportunity to participate in the MIT Media Lab Southeast Asia Forum, which will take place at True Digital Park in Bangkok on December 19-20, 2022. As Dr. Orawit visited the MIT Media Lab in May 2022, this is a chance to connect with colleagues such as Pat Pataranutaporn, PhD Candidate at the MIT Media Lab and KBTG Fellow, who was responsible for organizing Dr. Orawit's visit to the lab.

Since Dr. Orawit's visit Media lab in May, he has been working to apply his research in AI to improve everyday life. The first Memorandum of Agreement between the Embedded System and Computational Science Lab of CAMT and the CMU Health Innovation Center and MIT Jameel Clinic is currently in progress, though this agreement is not directly related to the MIT Media Lab. However, the MIT Jameel Clinic is a key node that connects to various research and innovation units within MIT."

During the first half of the forum, topics related to creating innovation that has never been seen before will be discussed. At the same time, the story of the Metaverse will be a topic of interest, and Dr. Orawit, as Assistant Dean for Research and Cooperation, has been asked by the Dean to explore the technology in this field and identify opportunities for development and application in conjunction with the teaching and learning management of the College.

So, this event is a great opportunity to meet with renowned innovation professors and connect with Dr. Orawit, potentially leading to future collaboration between the ESCS lab and the MIT Media Lab
