Dr. Manissaward Jintapitak, is an Assistant Professor in the Animation and Visual Effects Program at the College of Arts, Media, and Technology, Chiang Mai University (CMU). A distinguished educator and researcher, she specializes in Knowledge Management and a solid background in Design, Architecture and Educational Technology. She is integrates Design Thinking and Creative Thinking into her teaching and research, fostering innovative problem-solving skills and creativity among students. She has developed various courses and workshops that promote exploration and ideation, equipping learners with the tools to address complex challenges in the creative industries. As a co-researcher on a PMUC-funded project, she enhances the Design Thinking process using the GoGo Board Embedded System Toolkit, promoting comprehensive design and innovative thinking among students.
The objective of this trip is to foster collaboration and establish research and development networks for the GoGo Board learning kit. The trip includes training on STEM education and digital skills using the GoGo Board learning platform and kit. There will be an exchange of ideas and collaborative research efforts, strengthening relationships and promoting the development of modern educational technologies.
The trip played a significant role in creating and strengthening research networks and partnerships between educational institutions in the United States, Brazil, and Thailand. The meetings and exchanges with researchers and experts from institutions such as the University of São Paulo (USP) opened opportunities for future academic and research collaborations. These partnerships not only advance educational technology but also foster international academic alliances.
The research team held a meeting with the Provost of the University of São Paulo (USP) Innovation Center, Professor Roseli de Deus Lopes, and Ph.D. student coordinator Hadassa Onisaki. The discussion focused on collaboration between the TLTL research team and USP to develop research and applications of the GoGo Board in the United States and Brazil.
Presentation and Knowledge Exchange on STEM Education in Thailand: Science Classroom in School Project, Supervised by Universities (WMU Project)
This project, in collaboration with Chiang Mai University, aims to establish science classrooms in schools for students with exceptional abilities in science and technology, under the supervision of universities. The universities are responsible for the management and administration of the science classroom curriculum, which may be conducted in partner schools or schools under university supervision. The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI) supports the program.
