Welcome and discuss collaboration with Prof. Noam Shoval, Director of the European Forum and the Center for Urban Innovation at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, an EU expert in Urban Innovation and Smart Tourism, who is a key partner of the college within the European Union network. Prof. Noam Shoval has secured numerous research grants from both the EU Commission and the German Research Fund.

During the meeting, representatives from the Innovative Computer & Advanced Technology research group, led by Dr. Theppharit Sinthamrongrak and Assistant Professor Dr. Chalermpol Kongjit, presented their research, which is ready for commercialization and further development through research funding to drive innovation.

Additionally, the Innovative Research and Computational Science Lab, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Orawit Thinnukool, Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Khuwuthyakorn, Assistant Professor Dr. Sirikorn Santirojanakul, and Dr. Rattapol Phrommas from the Faculty of Mass Communication, also participated in the knowledge exchange and discussed submitting proposals for external funding.

The discussion focused on exchanging views on research related to modern tourism, integrating tourism management, urban development, and health, while promoting sustainability in energy and environmental practices. The college’s existing technological resources provide a strong foundation for further development and collaboration. Previously, both research groups have produced impactful work and received external funding, such as the Digital Twin research funded by the Program Management Unit for Human Resources & Institutional Development, Research and Innovation (PMU-B), and the research on applying digital technology to enhance the value of Lanna leisure tourism (Creative Leisure Lanna), supported by Program Management Unit for Competitiveness (PMU-C)
