Dr. Abdullah Raza Lakhan
Abdullah Lakhan is a senior researcher at Kristiania University College. He has over ten years of experience teaching and researching at the university level.

Abdullah Lakhan has published over 100 high-quality Level 1 and Level 2 conference papers and journal articles. He has been a reviewer and a guest editor for Level 1 and Level 2 journals. Abdullah Lakhan has co-organized several international conferences and regularly serves as a peer reviewer and committee member for international conferences and journals.

On August 27, 2024, Dr. Abdullah Raza Lakhan, a senior researcher from Kristiania University College, delivered a special lecture to students and faculty at Chiang Mai University. The seminar, titled “Beyond Horizons: Exploring New Trends in AI and Computing Technologies,” was attended by both undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as researchers and faculty members interested in the latest advancements in AI and computing.

Dr. Lakhan, with over a decade of experience in academia and research, is widely recognized for his work in artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, digital health, and information security. He has published over 100 research papers in high-impact conferences and journals and has played a significant role in organizing international conferences and reviewing scholarly publications.

During the seminar, Dr. Lakhan discussed emerging trends in AI, deep learning, and mobile computing, with a focus on how these technologies are shaping the future of industries and academic research. He emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and highlighted the rapid pace of technological innovation. Drawing from his experience in research labs and industry partnerships, he provided examples of successful technology integration in digital health and cloud computing.

In addition to the lecture, Dr. Lakhan engaged in discussions about the ethical considerations and challenges of AI development, urging students and researchers to remain mindful of the societal impact of technological advancements. The session concluded with a Q&A, where participants explored future research opportunities and practical applications of AI in various fields.

Throughout the week 26-30 August 2024, Dr. Abdullah Lakhan visited Chiang Mai University as a technology expert and researcher. He shared his knowledge and experience with students and organized technology seminars for graduate students, guided by faculty members in the research group. These seminars helped students plan their research correctly

Examples of the research discussions included the application of blockchain in education and the introduction of new data analysis techniques related to health and logistics planning.

Additionally, there was a demonstration on how student researchers can request high-performance computing services from Scandinavian countries. The researchers explained the efficiency of these systems and allowed seminar participants to try them out. They also provided guidelines for applying for these services, which are very useful for researchers and graduate students who need advanced data processing capabilities.

There was also a discussion on future collaboration opportunities, given the research group’s close ties with the MobileTechLab at Kristiania University College. Further talks on joint planning and funding will be held to explore these collaborative efforts.

During the section share representatives from the Innovative Computer & Advanced Technology research group, led by Dr. Theppharit Sinthamrongrak, Assistant Professor Dr. Chalermpol Kongjit and students, presented their research, which is ready for commercialization and further development through research funding to drive innovation.
