Taipei, Taiwan — July 15, 2026 — Taipei Medical University Shuang Ho Hospital brought together healthcare leaders, medical professionals, researchers, innovators, and international partners for the 2026 Africa–Asia Pacific Health Innovation & Global Partnership Summit, creating a platform for cross-regional cooperation in healthcare innovation, digital transformation, and capacity building.
Held at the Xingchun Building of Taipei Medical University, the summit connected representatives from Taiwan with participants from Africa and the Asia-Pacific region. Dr.Orawit Thinnukool published research on Smart ICT MED reports that the application was developed around 54 symptom groups and has been promoted across 87 hospitals in Thailand, demonstrating how mobile technologies can support health literacy and access to basic health information.
These examples highlighted the summit's broader message: technological innovation can play an increasingly important role in making healthcare more accessible, efficient, and patient-centered, particularly when solutions are adapted to local healthcare needs.
